Colorado offers the consumer no help in differentiating between real and fake naturopathic degrees. Here is a list of resources to help differentiate between real and fake degrees.

The Federal government through the US Department of Education provides some information at: http://www.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ous/international/usnei/us/edlite-accred-fraud.html

The most comprehensive site for information on fraudulent degrees and ‘diploma mills' is Oregon 's Office of Degree Authorization:

    http://www.osac.state.or.us/oda/diploma_mill.html

They maintain a list of diploma mills and unaccredited programs:

    http://www.osac.state.or.us/oda/unaccredited.html

The Council on Higher Education maintains a list of institutions and programs accredited in the United States at:

    http://www.chea.org/search/

The only accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education to approve naturopathic training programs is the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education. A list of accredited schools can be found on their website:

    www.CNME.org
